Martha E. Zellner,83, of Hazleton passed away Wednesday morning at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Blasko) Hischar.
Martha was a 1951 graduate of Hazleton High School and spent her life as a homemaker raising her five children.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Albert in 2010; brothers, Stephen, Thomas and George Hischar; and sisters, Mary Hischar and Dorothy Lore.
Surviving are her sons, Albert and his wife, Diane, Martinsburg; and Stephen and his wife Theresa, Drums; daughters, Martha and her husband, James Coyne, Titusville, Fla.; Amy and her husband Cary Petrichko, Drums; and Judith Zellner, Hazleton; grandchildren; Elizabeth, Zachary, Lauren, Ian, Stephanie and Michael; great-grandchild Madison; sister, Patricia Hayle, Hazleton; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was honored to serve as Eucharistic minister at her church. She enjoyed doing puzzles and visiting her children who lived out of town. Family meant everything to Martha. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m.at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Parish at the Church of St. Joseph.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
